far from his homeland of the sunshine coast, in the suburbs of washington dc jason swain is on a mission to paint the portraits of all the fallen aussie diggers from the afghanistan campaign. the portraits are gifts to the family of the soldiers and will be stretched and framed here in australia . our hope is to give some sort of lasting reminder of the fella’s who paid the ultimate price in the only way he knows how- through his paintbrush.
from his studio in suburban maryland, jason has featured in several articles on both tv and newspaers and has painted a wide array of subjects including two u.s presidents, crocodile hunter steve irwin as well as a variety of sport and entertainment stars.
jason has also kindly gifted a portrait of jordan of which takes pride of place in the hallway of john tysons queensland home.
working in conjunction with jason we hope to raise the much needed funds required in order to cover the costs of transporting these paintings to Australia and, the subsequent stretching, framing and shipping directly to the family of each fallen hero.
